Lime pickle rarebit
Give classic Welsh rarebit a tangy twist with lime pickle in this easy lunch. If you don’t have any, this could work well with spicy mango chutney instead

Bake a loaf cake using a British favourite – milky cereal – along with some dried fruit. It's egg-free and simple to make, too

Heat the oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4. Put the cereal, sugar, dried fruit and milk in a large bowl, give it a stir, then set aside until the milk has absorbed, at least 1 hr.
Generously butter a non-stick 450g loaf tin or line with baking parchment. Tip the flour and baking powder into the cereal mixture and fold together until well combined. Spoon the batter into the prepared tin, then bake for 1 hr.
Turn the loaf out onto a wire rack and leave to cool a little before cutting into slices to serve.
