Using a small star-shaped cookie cutter, cut about 15 pieces out of the bread – you should be able to get around three from each slice. With the bread that’s left over, blitz in a food processor and freeze the crumbs to use another time.
Brush one side of the bread with butter, then put in a single layer in the air fryer and cook at 200C for 8-10 mins until golden. Will keep for a day in an airtight container. Add your topping of choice (see recipes above under 'Complete the dish').
